40' Willard
| This 40-foot diesel expedition boat normally sleeps four guests in two private cabins, and can accommodate up to six. She has a private head with shower, oil heat, 120-volt AC power system, walk-around decks, and a hard bottom inflatable shore boat on deck. She has full navigation, safety, and communications equipment, including satellite phone. Operating season is June 20- Aug. 15th. We sleep, eat, and travel aboard the boat and do most of our wildlife viewing ashore, going back and forth in my small inflatable boat. Most trips last about 50 hours, over three days and two nights, with departures on Mondays and Thursdays, times depending on the tides at Togiak. Longer trips to explore the other islands and 200 miles of wildlife refuge coastline are available on request. The vessel also transports individuals who have permits from the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game to camp on the island. On special request Capt. Johnson is available to do private charters on both sides of the Alaska Peninsula, as far west as Unimak in the eastern Aleutians. |
